Our Services

1

Therapeutic Treatment Modalities/Adjunct Therapies

Each youth has an assigned therapist who is responsible for the Mental Health Assessment, Individual Treatment Plan and Behavioral Treatment Plan.  These three treatment documents are active working documents and direct the individualized treatment through both group and individual therapy provided for each youth.

2

Sexually Problematic Behavioral Therapy

The goal of Sexually Problematic Behavioral Therapy is to provide an internal barrier within each youth to further sexual behavior problems while at the same time providing each client with alternate ways of meeting their needs in a positive and prosocial manner. At TCI, youth are taught to identify high risk situations, evaluate problematic responses to these situations, identify possible behavior choices and accurately assess the results of each behavioral choice to maintain personal safety.

3

We provide 24/7 therapeutic service to youth having significant mental health and behavioral problems including youth having sexually problematic behaviors. Through milieu therapy, we promote a community-based, systematic approach that focuses on positive behavior interactions, interventions and supports within the parameters of a safe, secure and structured milieu environment. Within our milieu environment, our goal is to build self-esteem, teach individual accountability as well as appropriate coping, social and problem-solving skills so that our youth gain the tools necessary to interact appropriately with others in various social settings. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), our clinicians take a goal-oriented approach at turning previously held maladaptive and distorted thoughts, undesirable feelings and responses, and inappropriate behaviors into those that are more befitting allowing our youth to successfully execute their environment now and in their future endeavors. Our adjunct therapies including ART (Aggression Replacement Training) and Think Trauma provide a complete yet systematic approach to treatment for youth having various treatment needs.
